A 75 g magnetic, see-through display with 1080p per eye: speed a few metres ahead, arrows at the junction. Powered by the helmet, without its own battery. Detaches in seconds.
- Glasses: most frames fit, including progressive lenses. Bulky frames may touch; adjust the distance or use the 30-day return. Unsure? Send us a frame photo.
- Fit: three spacers and two screws adjust height and eye distance. All four display corners should be visible.
- Light: use the sun visor in bright sunlight and switch to Static Mode at night.

A 1080p action camera is built into the chin of the shell, 30 frames per second through a 135° field of view, close to your own peripheral vision. Start it from the app, ride, and pull the clips to your phone over WiFi afterwards. 128 GB of storage hold around 20 hours of footage.

In development · software update
Every Aegis Rider Vision ships with a rear-facing 1080p camera in the shell. The blind-spot warning that uses it is in development and arrives as a software update, first to Founding Riders, then to everyone. It is not a mirror replacement, and we won't call it one.
Phone on the bars, or nothing on the bars.
Spatial anchoring needs one thing from the motorcycle: how it moves and where it is. Your phone can be that sensor, mounted rigidly with the included handlebar mount. Or the Pro-Box does it: a small module under the seat with a high-precision GNSS receiver and inertial sensors that replaces the phone on the bike side entirely. The phone stays in your pocket, positioning is more precise than a phone’s GPS, and the upcoming road-ahead features build on it.

Calls, music and navigation prompts. Six buttons, gloves on.
Stereo speakers and a microphone are built in. Calls, music, voice assistant and navigation prompts come from your paired phone over Bluetooth 5.2, so a group call on WhatsApp works with any helmet your friends wear. The ACTION button takes a call or plays and pauses; UP and DOWN set the volume; POWER wakes the display.
- No rider-to-pillion or mesh radio yet. Universal Sena/Cardo support is in development as a software update, without a date. Contact us to arrange fitting of your own unit in-house. We remove the built-in speakers and microphone; the unit sits in front of or behind our controls, because the left side houses our controls and battery and has no factory Sena slot.
- The helmet appears to your phone as a headset, so anything on your bike that controls the phone's media (volume, next track on many BMW, Harley and other infotainment systems) works. Nothing bike-specific controls the AR display.
Aegis Rider Vision is built on the Nexx X.WST3 platform and assembled at the Nexx factory in Portugal, with our electronics installed there. The helmet is ECE 22.06 approved. Carbon black matt is the one finish.

Route → ride
Plan in Kurviger, Calimoto, MyRoute or BaseCamp, export the GPX as a track (not a route; waypoints and POIs are not shown) and import it. Download the map once and the route works offline. Garmin or TomTom units and CarPlay cannot feed the display: the helmet draws it.

Does it work with my glasses?
For most riders, yes. Our founder rides with glasses himself. Only very bulky temples get tight at the sides, and that is rare. Glasses off, helmet on, glasses on, AR Optics on. If it doesn't work for you, you have 30 days to send it back. Not sure? Send us a photo of your glasses.
Which size do I need?
Measure your head circumference 2.5 cm above the eyebrows and use the table in the shop. Our helmet fits a touch tighter than a stock Nexx X.WST3, so between two sizes take the larger. You can try a stock X.WST3 at any Nexx dealer to check your head shape. Wrong size? Free exchange within 30 days.
Does it work with my motorcycle?
Yes, with any motorcycle. Your bike needs no display, no Bluetooth and no connection to the helmet: the phone on the handlebar or the Pro-Box is the sensor. Riders use it on everything from a 2001 Ducati ST3 to a Goldwing. Several bikes? Calibrate each once and switch in the Garage.
Does my phone have to be on the handlebar?
Only for spatial anchoring. With the phone in your pocket the helmet runs in Static Mode: same display, fixed in your view, everything else works. For the anchored display, mount the phone rigidly with the included mount (it can be hidden) or fit the Pro-Box under the seat.
The safety gain while riding is tangible. With no need to look down any more, my attention belongs entirely to the road.
The difference compared to the competition is stunning.
After testing the system for just over 1,000 kilometres, I see a clear safety benefit in urban areas and on motorway stretches.
Before trying the system I was sceptical, as I had already tried some other similar devices. But after using the Aegis solution, my opinion has changed completely, and I think this will be the future. We can have so much information just in front of our eyes and at the same time we don't lose the concentration. Aegis is, so far, the most promising tech on the market.

No. The electronics and tracking camera are integrated into the helmet at the factory. The AR Optics only works with the Aegis Rider Vision; the AR Optics alone is for owners who bought the helmet first. A flip-up version is not available: the chin camera has to see the motorcycle; flipped up, it would see the sky.
Measure your head circumference 2.5 cm above the eyebrows. Fits a touch tighter than a stock Nexx X.WST3. Between two sizes? Take the larger. Head shape: medium oval. Three shells: XS–S, M–L, XL–3XL; sizes within a shell differ only by the liner, which is also how a free size exchange works. The Aegis Rider Vision helmet is ECE 22.06 approved, based on the Nexx X.WST3 base helmet, with our electronics integrated at the Nexx factory. The full system, helmet and AR Optics, is RED-certified and CE-marked for its radio functions.
The Aegis Rider Vision helmet is ECE R 22.06 certified in its original delivered configuration, but when the optional AR Optics are attached, this modified configuration is no longer covered by that ECE homologation.
The ECE R 22.06 standard was unfortunately developed without considerations for head-up displays and the integration of these into motorcycle helmets. As such, the standard defines that nothing may be present in the field of view of the rider, including virtual information such as the HUD. It is thus currently not possible to certify head-up-displays together with motorcycle helmets and will only be possible with an amendment of the standard.

The AR Optics gets warm on hot days; it houses two displays. Owners move it one position further out on very hot rides, and on very hot days a temperature warning can appear.
